COLD PRESSED OIL MILLS:
Quality - Genuineness - Tradition
In Veneto, thanks to the mild climate of the hills and the area of Garda, the cultivation of olive trees boasts a tradition that dates back a few centuries, from which products are produced, that are particularly appreciated nowadays by the numerous foreign tourists who visit the territory, and by who searches more delicate organoleptic and less strong characteristics compared to the those of the products coming from the south of Italy.
Redoro has distributed the olive mills in the areas of Garda, Valpolicella and Valpantena; these are unique lands from which the unmistakable characteristics and flavours of REDORO's extra-virgin olive oil come from.
REDORO has its main premises in Grezzana (VR), among Valpantena hills, at the feet of mounts Lessini where, in addition to cultivate the olive trees of the area, it harvests the best olives of over 750 agricultural producers of seven valleys nearby. The grinding of olives still takes place in the ancient stone mills and according to the traditional cold squeezing system.
Ten years ago, the firm bought the ancient oil mill of Mezzane, in the homonymous valley, east of Verona, once owned by Count Giulio Liorsi. In this suggestive place, it is possible to watch the grinding of olives that still takes place in the ancient stone mills and according to the traditional cold squeezing system.
The oil mill of Bardolino is located in the main production area of extra-virgin olive oil of Garda. Thanks to the skilful work and infinite passion for the cultivation of olives, Redoro has reached the important goal to obtain the denomination of Garda D.O.P extra-virgin olive oil.
