Potentially more potent than Ganoderma Lucidium

Antrodia Camphorata (AC) has been proven to be more potent than Ganoderma Lucidium (Lingzhi) in pharmacological activities. Compared to the well known Ganoderma Licudium (Lingzhi) where less than 50 types of Triterpenes are found, AC contains more than 200 types of Triterpenes. In addition, the concentration of Triterpenes found in AC is 10-15 times higher than Ganoderma Lucidium.  

Recently, scientists discovered and patented new active anti-cancer compound Antroquinonol. Antroquinonol is a unique compound found only in AC. Various clinical tests using Antroquinonol proved it effective against cancerous cells.

Pharmacological Properties and Modes of Actions:

AntroquinonolTM could inhibit proferation of liver, lung, breast and prostate cancer cells. Antroquinonol™ induced S phase arrest of HepG2 cells when they are pretreated with synchronization. After synchronization with Antroquinonol, it decreases all cell cycle regulatory protein and cell growth related protein (including cyclin A, cyclin D, cyclin E, cdk2, cdk4, Rb, p53, Akt and MAPK). Antroquinonol inhibits protein synthesis through translation related protein 4E-BP1 and elF4E.

Antroquinonol™ for the treatment of multiple forms of cancer has been proven in vivo. The compound has passed in-vivo efficacy, ADME/toxicology for at least three kinds of cancer (NSCLC, liver and breast cancer) compared with the chemotherapy drugs Mitomycin and Taxol as positive control. No drug resistance was observed during in-vivo studies. This indicates that the drug can be considered a long-term orally-administered cancer therapy.
